The only thing holding him back from running the school cross-country was not having sneakers.
Thanks to the Nike shoes, Mark was able to lace up & participate in cross-country.

Toys for our vulnerable children
These toy donations have the potential to bring members of our community together by allowing people to contribute in meaningful ways. Families or organizations in need of toys can feel supported by their community, fostering a sense of connection and solidarity.
Increasing play and spreading kindness
Paula (Educator) “These wonderful new toys will be a big hit with all of the children in the Early Learning Centre. They have arrived at the perfect time with lots of hot weather containing the children to the indoor learning spaces! These toys will keep them occupied for hours and will promote some wonderful skill development such as imaginative play, collaboration and turn-taking.”
A great item to add to our bags
Mary expressed her gratitude, saying that it’s often difficult to afford essential items that may not be of the best quality but are still necessary. She appreciates the support, as it helps ease the burden of having to choose between quality and necessity.
Big W Donation Brings Christmas Cheer to Orange
“This was more than just a handout—it was a reminder that people care. With the rising cost of living, Christmas was looking pretty tough for my family, but the support from Birrang and Big W made a real difference. The gifts helped ease the financial stress, but more than that, the day brought us together as a community. It was heartwarming to see so many people looking out for one another.” – Sarah*, Community Member
Shoes and Nice Tops for Women Escaping DFV
We have been so chuffed to receive this delivery of Nike Shoes to be able to include in our intake pack for women who are fleeing DFV. When a new client has come into the service, we welcome them with a hamper with underwear, socks, a couple of tops. We can now include some Nike shoes which will be amazing considering they are white and new. Women who flee often have to accept donations to get by for a while and to be offering nice new items will be well received.
Christmas Miracle
“Being able to hand out gifts and see the pure excitement on the kids’ faces was truly rewarding. It felt like, just for a moment, we got to step into Santa’s shoes and bring a little extra magic to the day. The event wasn’t just about the presents—it was about creating a space where families felt supported, connected, and part of something bigger. Seeing the community come together like this reminds us why these gatherings are so important.” -Alison Whitaker
