The only thing holding him back from running the school cross-country was not having sneakers.
Thanks to the Nike shoes, Mark was able to lace up & participate in cross-country.

Small Gifts, Lasting Strength
“I hadn’t bought new shoes in years. These gave me confidence to walk into the coroner’s office with my head held high.”
“It’s been hard to explain to them what’s going on. But watching them sit and build something gave us all a break from the sadness.”

Our carers say the biggest thanks
As foster carers, we’re so grateful for the thoughtful donation of these beautiful Go-To products. For many of the children who come into our care, small things like bath time or bedtime can be moments of uncertainty but these fun, colourful, and gentle products help turn those moments into something positive.
The bright packaging and playful faces bring smiles, while the soothing, child-friendly formulas make caring for their skin simple and safe. The Bad Dream Buster spray, in particular, has been a comforting favourite at bedtime, helping little ones feel calm and secure.
These products don’t just care for skin they help build routines of comfort, trust, and self-care. Thank you for supporting our foster families and helping us bring a little extra joy and reassurance into the lives of the children we care for
Student Self Regulation and Interoception
“I get angry sometimes and say things to people that are mean. Now when I feel angry, I take a 10 minute break, get my Interoception tray out and quietly work on my Lego. Working on my Lego build helps me calm down because I stop thinking about other things. When I feel better, I go back into the class and do my work.” – Chris* age 9
“I don’t get into trouble so much anymore because when I feel myself getting cross, I go to Interoception and build my Lego. It helps me be calmer” – Jaxon* age 7
Nike Runners for Regional Aboriginal Communities
One of our people working with foster Aboriginal children in the Northern Western Regional of NSW emails the stories to me and sometimes they include pictures if the are permitted. In this case I have not received pictures but just this one assuming story below from the community person.
Lego saves the day for a child in hospital
It’s amazing how something as simple as LEGO can make such a big difference to a child who’s sick in hospital.
When you’re stuck in a hospital bed, surrounded by machines and doctors, a small box of LEGO can become so much more, a world of imagination, distraction, and joy.
It gives children something to focus on, something they can control and create when so much around them feels out of their hands. It sparks smiles, quiet moments of play, and sometimes even laughter with family or nurses who join in the build!
That’s why we love including LEGO in our Smiles2U packs because it’s not just a toy, it’s a little box of hope.
Frida Kahlo Friday in the Community Hub
“Programs like this give me the chance to leave my house and spend time with other ladies in my community. I don’t get much time for myself because I have a big family to look after so being in the hub helps me relax, be creative and I always leave happy. I don’t think my language is the best so I also get to practice my English at the same time and this make me even more happy” *Fatma
Building More Than Blocks: How LEGO is Changing Lives at Rainbow Roos
“My kids were over the moon when they got the LEGO sets! It wasn’t just the fun of building—seeing them work together, share ideas, and celebrate each other’s creations was amazing. They haven’t stopped talking about it all week.” – Parent of a Rainbow Roos participant
