Mobile SIM Cards improve engagement
We utilised the SIM cards to assist our clients to stay engaged in our treatment program. Many of our clients do not have phones or money for credit, they may be without housing, recently released from prison or have financial hardship. We purchased unlocked phones and gave these to clients with a SIM card.
*Kim said that offering phones and the SIM helped them to access the nurse and case manager for appointments.
*David said that without the access to a phone and SIM he would not have been able to access the nurse to arrange an appointment or to access treatment.
Flood assistance
We were privileged to distribute Bath Mats and cleaning cloths to properties that had been impacted by the devastating floods earlier in the year. Everyone that we offered a Bath Mat to very quickly said ‘Yes Please!’ Cleaning clothes were a great bonus to have as well.
Keeping on track with Optus
We were able to help Diana* who was fleeing DV with three children living in their car, she responded with the following:
“Thank you for the Optus 360 SIM card. I was attacked and robbed and had my ID taken and now I can use the phone to organise things and get me and my kids life back on track.”
Keeping Engaged
Clients who got access to SIM cards were grateful for the offer and used the cards to stay in contact with our service while their health care needs were addressed.

Without the sim and phone I had no way to reach QuIHN. I just got out of prison and needed the help, without it I had no way to talk to the team – thankyou
*Kim
Thankyou for the sim and phone, getting this for me while I went through treatment was awesome and helped me stay in contact.
Optus SIM Cards Added in Essentials Package Project
“Having the SIM card made a world of difference for me. I had been feeling disconnected from everything and everyone, and I didn’t know how I was going to keep up with job opportunities or stay in touch with my family. Being able to talk to my kids again was the most important thing. It made me feel like I was still part of the world, not just an outsider.”

“It’s hard to explain how something as simple as a phone with credit can make such an impact. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I had control over my life again. I was able to make appointments, apply for jobs, and reach out for help when I needed it. It gave me a sense of independence I hadn’t felt in years.”

Making an Impact Through Fun and Games
“Our team is excited to receive these toys for the families we support! Play is such an important part of a child’s development, and it’s fantastic to see a diverse range of dolls and games that help build imagination, social skills, and confidence.” – Annaley
Stepping In for the Health of Children’s Feet
“I recently worked with a family where a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old put on their new shoes right away. They couldn’t wait to stomp around the room with joy, and it was a beautiful reminder of how something as simple as a well-fitting pair of shoes can bring so much happiness and confidence to a child.” – Sofie, KICS Support Worker
Fighting Hygiene Poverty
“It’s heartwarming to see how these essential items make a real difference in the lives of the families we support. Every little bit counts, and knowing that we can provide something as simple as cleaning supplies helps restore dignity and improve their daily lives. We’re grateful for the generosity of Good360 and their donors.” – Jess, Senior Practitioner KICS IFS
