As a worker in the homeless field with past life experience of being homeless as a teenager, I know how much it means to oneself to be able to clean your teeth when not privileged to showering facilities. It makes you feel at least half human.

Dolls for Growth
Playing with dolls teaches children a variety of important skills, including social and emotional development, language and cognitive growth, and physical dexterity. To be able to share these with our families will not only give joy to the children with Down syndrome, but encourage skill development at the same time.
Lego saves the day for a child in hospital
It’s amazing how something as simple as LEGO can make such a big difference to a child who’s sick in hospital.
When you’re stuck in a hospital bed, surrounded by machines and doctors, a small box of LEGO can become so much more, a world of imagination, distraction, and joy.
It gives children something to focus on, something they can control and create when so much around them feels out of their hands. It sparks smiles, quiet moments of play, and sometimes even laughter with family or nurses who join in the build!
That’s why we love including LEGO in our Smiles2U packs because it’s not just a toy, it’s a little box of hope.
Frida Kahlo Friday in the Community Hub
“Programs like this give me the chance to leave my house and spend time with other ladies in my community. I don’t get much time for myself because I have a big family to look after so being in the hub helps me relax, be creative and I always leave happy. I don’t think my language is the best so I also get to practice my English at the same time and this make me even more happy” *Fatma
