How and to Whom We Distributed the Goods : The trustee for Home Beyond Home received a range of donated items from Good360 Australia, which were thoughtfully distributed to vulnerable individuals and families across the Wynnum, Hemmant, and surrounding regions. These goods were supplied through our community pantry and outreach support program, which operates weekly to assist people experiencing financial hardship, homelessness, disability, and social isolation. We identified recipients through our local service networks, walk-in requests, and direct community referrals from social workers and housing support agencies. The donations were distributed to: People experiencing homelessness, living in temporary or unsafe housing situations Financially struggling families with children who lacked basic household or personal care items Older adults and people with chronic illnesses or disabilities who could not afford essentials due to high medical or living costs One of the outstanding stories is from John*, a 58-year-old man living with a severe auto-neurological condition. His illness made it difficult to maintain employment and pay rent, leaving him isolated and struggling to afford food and essentials. When John received hygiene products, clothing, and household items from Home Beyond Home’s Good360 distribution, he expressed deep gratitude and relief. “It may seem like a small thing,” John said, “but for me it meant someone cared. It gave me a reason to smile again.” Through these donations, we were able to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to dozens of community members just like John—proving that small acts of generosity can create a powerful ripple effect of care and connection.
