Tell us how and to whom you distributed the goods in your community

The team here at Animal Rescue Cooperative run a number of community outreach programs working with local agencies, services and community food pantries to help people feed their pets. Dog toys are always welcomed by the clients of these services. We participate in a number of Healthy Pet Days held in lower income communities throughout the year. Visitors receive free veterinary care, microchipping and access to other animal related services. The ARC team give away free pet food, treats and toys to participants from the donations we receive from wonderful companies like Nestle Pet Care. Photos show one of our stalls held in Waterloo Green, inner Sydney earlier this year. We saw over 300 cats and dogs at this event, one of the largest fo rthe year.

The donation of a pallet of dog toys by Nestle Pet Care helped support our community outreach programs throughout the year. If people are struggling to feed themselves and their pets, dog toys are often well down the list of priorities. But donations like this allow us to give a bit of joy and fun. The look on a staffies face when he hears a squeaky toy and then gets given it to keep (and destroy :-)) is priceless. Thanks to Good360 and Nestle Purina for the donation.
