The animal toys and cleaning products were dispersed among our animal rescue’s foster network which supports rescue animals across the Gladstone region. Our foster carers come from all walks of life – families, retirees, and individuals who generously open their homes to animals in need. These donations not only benefited the rescue pets by providing stimulation and play but also supported the people in our community who volunteer their time and resources to care for them. The assortment of girls’ accessories was divided and shared with Communities for Children Gladstone, a local initiative that supports the wellbeing and development of children and families. Their programs focus on creating positive early childhood experiences, strengthening family relationships, and connecting families with local support services. The donated items will be used to bring joy to young girls participating in these community programs and activities as part of their Christmas appeal. The remaining accessories have been prepared for UnitingCare to distribute as part of their annual Christmas Appeal, ensuring families doing it tough this festive season can provide special gifts for their children. These donations will help spread happiness and relief to local families who may otherwise go without during the holiday period.
