LEGO Club at Forest Hill Public School

Ms Mel Turner, facilitator of our LEGO Creative Club: “a wonderful pathway to ensure every child’s interests and needs are catered for.”

Tell us how and to whom you distributed the goods in your community

The LEGO sets have been made available to all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 at Forest Hill Public School, where they are used during recess and lunch as part of our new LEGO Creative Space. This inclusive environment gives children a welcoming place to learn, play, create, and connect with others. As our partnership with Good360 continues, we aim to expand the impact of these resources by sharing opportunities with our wider community. We plan to disperse and utilise donated goods through school programs, family engagement events such as our Fathering Project, and other community driven initiatives, ensuring that support reaches not only our students, but also the families and community members connected to our school.

Tell us how these goods helped your community, program or organisation

Our first Good360 order of LEGO has already made a meaningful impact at our school. The sets have helped us create a welcoming alternative space during recess and lunch for students who prefer a quieter place to learn, play, build, and connect. This “LEGO Creative Space” offers an environment where like-minded students can use their imagination, work together, and build positive friendships away from the busy playground. Led by Ms Turner, the space has quickly become a valued option for students who feel more comfortable expressing themselves through hands-on creativity. She says it has been “a wonderful pathway to ensure every child’s interests and needs are catered for.” The LEGO resources will continue to support student wellbeing, inclusion, and social connection, giving children another way to feel seen, successful, and part of their school community.
We are incredibly grateful for the support from Good360. Even a single delivery has already helped us create new opportunities for students, and we are excited to continue building on this partnership.
